Senator Trump moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:

Senate Bill 494--A Bill to amend and reenact §18-7A-17 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to providing that, effective July 1, 2018, members and retirants of the State Teachers Retirement System shall be considered absent from service as a teacher or nonteacher while serving as an officer with a statewide professional teaching association.
